Family Caving

Enjoy a family day out, just as something to do for the family or for a special occasion; perhaps even a birthday. This family group has even brought the cake with them!

Without even noticing, everyone will learn about rocks, stalactites, stalagmites and fossils.

This is a chance for the children to have some fun and explore the cave. "What's down there? Shall we have a look?"

Wait for me...

Itinerary

At the start of your day, Ian will fit you up with modern caving gear consisting of an overall, helmet, light and battery. This gear will be fitted over some old clothes (not jeans) which you will be advised to bring along, which will give you warmth plus added protection to your body, knees and elbows. You will be asked to provide your own Wellington Boots (preferably) or robust old walking boots (trainers are definitely not permitted).

Ian will then introduce you to various safety procedures before you embark on an exciting excursion into the fascinating world beneath your feet.

During your trip you will learn what the "world which has never seen the light of day" is really like. You will quickly develop the skills to move about in this strange environment and learn to do things which you previously felt you would never be able to do - all this under Ian's watchful eye.

By then end of the trip you will come away so excited you will desperately want to go back to school so you can tell your friends about your amazing day.
